I’ve known the work of Ramsgate Marine and particularly Antony Parish for some time now and I have to say whether it’s a mechanical issue or a sailing matter Ramsgate Marine is the number one marine organisation I go to when I want any work done on my boat and done well. From faultlessly putting in a new engine and installing a calorifier, to replacing skin fittings and ensuring the ensuring the boot-topping is even again. Whatever my problem or question, I know Antony will have an answer and it’ll be the right answer

In 2019, having returned from Portsmouth, I called Ramsgate Marine Ltd to help with a problem which had troubled my Dunkirk Little Ship for weeks, without resolution.
Antony and his team responded immediately and traced a fuel starvation problem by meticulously following it back, testing each component along the way. This involved  carefully dismantling parts of the wheelhouse and revealing the diesel tanks. Using components swapped from each engine they were able to isolate the  fault to a blocked  pipe in the fuel tank.
Having resolve the problem they carefully  re-constructed the wheelhouse structure. I then watched as they carried out a thorough service routine on the engines.
At every stage they were thorough and tidy. I was delighted to have discovered this excellent team and have no hesitation in recommending them to all boat owners

Ramsgate Marine have looked after two classic wooden boats for me over the past few years and have always given an exemplary service.
One was a 1965 46-foot wooden Hillyard ketch which underwent a major renovation whilst ashore in Ramsgate, involving major work to the hull and structure and the installation a new engine.
The other was a 36-foot Swedish built twin-screw wooden motor yacht. When the vessel was damaged in the French canals, Steve and Anthony Parish drove out to the south of France to undertake repairs to the hull to make good the damage.
I would highly recommend Ramsgate Marine for the quality and skill of their workmanship.
