1977 at the Chatham dockyard
Steve Parish started his apprenticeship in 1977 at the Chatham dockyard, whilst training to be a shipwright he worked on a range of naval Vessels from frigates to nuclear submarines.
In 1983 he finished his apprenticeship and moved back to Thanet where he applied for a job at the original Ramsgate Marine.
He worked there from 1982-1991 working on multitude of projects including; Trinity house pilot boats, Hythe range safety boats, Custom and Excise, and local pleasure crafts.
After his time at the original Ramsgate marine he went self employed from 1991 til December 2011 where a limited company was formed. At the time his son Antony Parish finished school and started his training under Steve.
We’ve carried out upgrades, adaptations and general services
The company name was changed from Steve parish ltd to Ramsgate marine ltd in 2015 when Antony became a director upon completion of his 4 years training.
Since we have been trading as Ramsgate Marine we have completed a refit on one of our local pilot boats, built several commercial fishing boats, and carried out upgrades, adaptations and general service work on a multitude of local pleasure vessels.
